My Daughter as Inspiration for My New Weekly Post Series

My daughter is a mini-me

She is independent, strong -willed, witty and is not going to do anything until she is good and ready. She is too smart for her own age (and too smart for her own good) and I really have to stay one step ahead of her.

She is calculating + deliberate = Trouble!!!

Parenting a child like her is very tough work, & takes A LOT of patience and understanding.  There are times where is so persistent about things I tell her no about, I have to walk away from her and take a “Mommy Time Out” because my anger  and frustration level is so high after constantly repeating myself and her trying to negotiate.

As a result of these things I will be having weekly posts entitled: Times are a Changing: Things my mom said to me that I tell my daughter & her reactions.

These are saying that I think most parents, especially moms can relate to and I am sure that we have all promised ourselves we would NEVER say “these things” to our children but somehow the words still find our way into our souls and beings and then are passed on to our children

Some of her reactions are just Priceless...& others…well I will let you decide for yourself.....
