Book Review: True Bucketfilling Stories: Legacies of Love

Title: True Bucketfilling Stories: Legacies of Love
By: Stacey A. Lundgren
Genre: Inspirational
Pages: 110
Purchase: Amazon
List Price: $12.95

Summary:
I wanted to review this book as I was intrigued by the title and had never heard the term “bucketfilling” used this way and was curious to read what exactly the author meant. I was pleased that the introduction to the short stories in the book answered my questions.

A bucketfiller is a person who lives his or her life with a warm and caring heart. He or she may say or do nice things for other person. A bucket dipper is the opposite. The person may be rude, self-centered or in a frequently in a bad mood.

I found myself engrossed in each and every story wonder how the characters were going to be bucketfillers and not bucket dippers and how each story would end. Another great idea in this book at the “Let’s talk about it” questions at the end of each short story. They are thought provoking and really help the reader to absorb the story and the lessons that can be learned.

In addition, I found myself constantly thinking about whether I was being a bucketfiller or bucket dipper in many situations after reading this book. It made me more conscience of my words and actions towards other people. There was an incident with my ex-husband that came up after reading these stories and I will admit that prior to reading this book I would have been a bucket dipper in this situation, however; I made the choice to be a bucketfiller. It made me feel good about myself and I think it even surprised him.

I love this book because being a bucketfiller is wonderful! The stories are encouraging and inspiring and there is a lot that you can learn and take from this book and apply to your everyday life. I think that anyone that reads this book and takes to heart the message and concept of the book will feel happier and rejuvenated.
